Mulch Pile Open for Season

Free mulch is now available across from the City Yards at 523 S Central Avenue on a first come, first served basis for citizens of Rockford.

It will continue to be available throughout the spring, summer and fall months.

We do our best to keep the area full, but due to demand, sometimes there may not be any available. The supply should be replenished the next day. Thanks for your patience.

  • Mulch is intended for City of Rockford residents for use at their homes.
  • Mulch is to be hand loaded (bring your own pitch fork, shovel, rake etc.)

Please do not bring machine operated equipment.
