Attorney Rubin represents the City in civil litigation matters, including collecting debts owed to the City. He prosecutes cases before the City of Rockford Liquor Control Commission. Attorney Rubin serves as a Freedom of Information Officer for the City and advises the Rockford Police Department on expungement matters. He also advises the Redistricting Committee and works closely with the Juvenile Enhanced Response Team in an effort to decrease juvenile involvement in the criminal justice system. He has extensive litigation and trial experience, having previously worked for ten years in the Office of the Winnebago County Public Defender.
Attorney Rubin is a graduate of the University Wisconsin-Platteville and Northern Illinois University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
