Michaela serves as the City's Contracts and Grants Compliance Officer. She is responsible for implementing the City's grants policy and advising all city departments on grant compliance. She also manages the City's grant portfolio, assists with grant applications, and ensures compliance with grant conditions and reports. Additionally, Michaela serves as the City's Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer, administers the City's Minority and Women Business Enterprise certification process, and provides staff support to the Community Relations Commission. She also acts as the point of contact for contract compliance for Davis Bacon Wage Rates and Prevailing Wage.
Michaela has a strong background in compliance measures and implementation. During her career, she has led agencies to achieve high levels of compliance and has been nationally recognized for her programming and policy development. Her experience in training, curriculum, and effective compliance procedures will provide the City staff with the tools for successful grant management and achieving a high level of compliance.
