The City of Rockford has been named one of the very first Better Business Towns. This new program recognizes local communities that promote an ethical and trustworthy business marketplace. It means Rockford is in the top 10 of the most Better Business Bureau accredited businesses and the most traffic at bbb.org.
"We're thrilled to name Rockford as one of the first Better Business Towns," says Dennis Horton, Director of the Rockford Regional Office of the Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois. "Our goal is to connect consumers with businesses they can trust. This award shows the community and visitors that an independent, non-profit organization believes that ethical business practices are a core value in Rockford."
"Thank you to the Better Business Bureau for this incredible recognition," says Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara. "We know that customers rely on the BBB to help them determine which businesses are honest in advertising, operate in good faith and serve their customers well. Being a Better Business Town should instill a high level of confidence in consumers about businesses in our community."
